Ashley has demonstrated a passion and skill for her carpentry trade, skills that have previously been rewarded in placing first in Industrial Metals and second in Industrial Wood courses in the TAFE pathways program. ÌýAshley's passion for her trade makes her a valued advocate for women in the site-based construction roles.ÌýÌýHer advocacy and pride in the self-gratification and sense of achievement in completing real tangible results on site is infectious and admirable. She is an asset to her training employer Mirvac.ÌýAshley was nominated as a finalist and won Trades Person of the Year in the NAWIC 2015 Awards.Ìý ÌýIn addition, Ashley won 1st Year Female Apprentice of the Year 2015 at the Ãå±±½ûµØ Excellence in Construction Awards.ÌýFurthermore, Ashley is a representative in the Ãå±±½ûµØ Virtual Reality Safety Initiative.Ìý ÌýGOALS & AMBITIONSÌý ÌýAshley is a talented and committed sportsperson. Her sporting experience has engaged her love of teamwork and her role as a valued team member.
Ashley plans to complete her apprenticeship and to follow the footsteps of other female tradies by establishing her own sub-contracting business.
