The MLC Burwood Junior School Is a three storey concrete structure with a structural steel framed metal roof.ÌýÌýA glazed façade makes up the majority of the external walls and there is a glass lift shaft with a glass sided lift car.ÌýÌýThe project features an abundance of hardwood decking and grass laid over a suspended slab.ÌýÌýThe internal learning areas are irregular shaped and the plasterboard walls are painted in bold colours.ÌýÌýConstruction access was very difficult, due to the location of the school in a residential area with narrow streets and adjacent overhead power lines.
This well finished project was completed in 14 months.
