Transport House was built during the Depression and was left vacant for thirty years prior to the refurbishment. The four major elements of the work were;
•ÌýÌý ÌýDemolition and hazardous material removal.
•ÌýÌý ÌýInstallation of all new services.
•ÌýÌý ÌýFaçade and window restoration, which required the fixing of the sandstone façade back to the structure.
•ÌýÌý ÌýRestoration of the various heritage fabrics within the building.
This difficult project was completed in eighteen months.
