Bankwest stadium is a new 30,000-seat football stadium that replaces the Parramatta stadium.ÌýPreassembly of roof frames allowed for reduced work at heights for riggers.ÌýA production line was set up on the pitch utilising aÌý400-tonne crawler crane to assemble and lift the 70-tonne roof trusses into position.Ìý4,500 tonnes of structural steel, all made in Australia, was used in the project. The overall design incorporated steeply raked seating areas to maximise the sightlines and spectator experience.ÌýThe grass field was installed utilising a reinforced turf system in order to overcome challenges of failing turf under the usage of different sporting codes. It is a spectacular build and venue.
