This $30 million project is the biggest construction ever undertaken by Tamworth Regional Council. 听Its spectacular design has an indoor arena, 40m x 80m with seating for 4,000 people.听
The roof trusses are 80 m long, post tensioned, the roof sheets are 74 m single length, rolled on site. There is an attached circular sales ring with seating for 560 people. Under the stadium there are holding yards for 听 听 听200 horses.
There are six separate stable blocks housing 478 horses. Also an education / training facility with seating for 44, a veterinary room, meeting room and showers and toilets.听There are powered parking bays for 195 trucks.
This is a most impressive and well built facility.
