Minister for Fair Trading Eleni Petinos听said the new standard is a critical step to ensuring everyone鈥檚 safety in the workplace.

鈥淭he Scaffolding Industry Safety Standard is an essential and comprehensive resource that provides practical guidance for those听undertaking scaffolding work,鈥 Ms Petinos said.

鈥淭he Safety Standard complements the SafeWork NSW 鈥楽peak Up, Save Lives鈥 app, which allows for the听anonymous reporting of workplace health and safety risks.鈥

鈥淔ollowing the tragic death of Christopher Cassaniti just over three years ago, the NSW Government is seeking to ensure such a tragic incident never occurs again.鈥
